Lob and smash speed are now increased in todays version [s]0.1.4[/s] 0.1.5 to make them stronger.
A higher knockback (duration/distance) for smashes would be overpowered in 1on1 matches. Returning a "smashed serve" is already difficult and often grants the opponent a good chance to score on the next hit.
The guard break mechanic (very high knockback/stun on consecutive smashes) will be added at a later stage which makes those shots in 2on2 more dangerous.
Slices can be done in nearly every situation. This behavior differs from FT, but it is intended. I never understood why you should not be able to slice if the ball did not bounced once. To my mind, slices are also kinda weak currently.
As I wrote here, it is somehow easier to hit the ball out. I need to check how to tweak this.
